Measuring for Drop-In Tin Ceiling Tiles (2/3)

To determine the number of drop in tin tiles
you’ll need for your project, simply count the number of panels in your existing standard
2×2 grid system. If you currently have a 2×4 2×4 system it can be easily converted to a 2×2 system. In this example, 36 drop in tin tiles are necessary. If you have partial grid slots
around the perimeter of your ceiling you’ll need to count these as well. In this room we can see that 10 partial tiles are needed. This space can be spruced up with our attractive
filler panels or partial pattern tiles. It’s important to note that some patterns have
a significant profile depth of up to a 1/2 inch and may create a noticeable gap when installed against a wall or over crown molding. American Tin Ceilings drop in tin ceiling
